ABOUT THE SESSION

Learn the benefits of a Smart HVAC Program that combines common energy-saving measures with new innovative fan controls in an easy-to-implement device to retrofit-packaged Rooftop Units (RTUs). Find out how the existing building mechanical systems were integrated with an energy intelligence platform, along with additional sensors to manage indoor air quality, comfort and energy savings via software. This secured platform allows for the system improvements to be continually maintained by utilizing advanced fault detection, diagnostics, self-calibration, and energy analytic routines that can also be integrated into lighting and other systems.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
  • Brief overview of the Smart HVAC Program concept.
  • Understand principles of affinity laws for fans, how they work, and how they save money.
  • Learn how the retrofit can provide an early warning for equipment failures using fault detection capability.
  • Know how to leverage the eIQ platform which communicates with the RTUs and use it as the building's BAS.
